Andy Deitsch Biography
Andy Deitsch is a technology veteran having worked in the computer industry for 33 years of which 26 years was working for GE. His initial focus working in the Artificial Intelligence Lab was in the areas of Natural Language Processing, Fuzzy Logic and Computer Vision and later on he broadened into other technology areas important to the company. In 1999, Andy moved into management where he took on increasingly larger leadership positions. He held several key leadership roles including CTO of a $1B P&L within GE Healthcare where he managed a global team of 350+ engineers and Technology Leader within GE's Global Research Center where he led multiple research labs and was responsible for a $50M+ research budget.
In Andy's most recent role at GE he oversaw research in Robotics (including autonomous ground, subsea and aerial platforms), the Internet of Things, Cyber security, Big Data, AI and Software Platforms. He also co-founded and led GE's strategic initiative in product cyber security across the company.
Andy is an avid drone enthusiast and in his spare time he focuses on his hobbies of aerial and underwater photography.
